Payment Process: We make publishing easy with four small payments of just $312.50. Authors make their first payment when they submit their manuscript, and then are invoiced at each stage of the editorial process for the remaining three payments. If you meet with us personally, we can easily accept all forms of payment at the time of your consultation. Special arrangements can be made for writers with certain financial challenges. Submission Requirements: Grey Wolfe Publishing offers a free manuscript review of the first 50 pages of your project to give you a clear understanding of what type of editing assistance your manuscript will need. The review is optional before the editorial process begins, but it is highly recommended. A review allows you to see the scope of work yet to be done before the actual editorial and interior design process begins.
Publication Timelines: The average time from manuscript submission and first payment to completion of book design is four months. Additional time may be necessary for complex interior layouts that include multiple graphic insertions, and books which require our artists or photographers to create illustrations and photos.
Non-Exclusive Agreement: Our agreement is non-exclusive, which means that you are not bound to Grey Wolfe Publishing for any period of time. Once the book design services are complete, those files belong to you, forever. Copyright Registration and Library of Congress Control Numbers are secured in your name.
We highly recommend that all potential authors discuss our services and costs with their attorney or another trusted advisor. We want to be certain that you are 100% comfortable with our business practices before signing with us! We also highly recommend that potential authors research other book design service organizations to be certain that you are receiving the services that are most important to you at a fair price. This is not something to jump into... it took a lot of time to write your book, now take the time necessary to be sure that you are 100% comfortable with the company that will help you bring it to bookstore shelves.
